Amarantine Travels (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) (Registration No: 2024/535672/07) respects your right to privacy and access to information, and we are committed to protecting the personal information we process, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and your right of access under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”).
We provide this Disclaimer to inform you how we collect, use, store and protect personal information and how you can exercise your rights of access to information.


2. What is required under POPIA

Under POPIA, a “responsible party” must ensure that the processing of personal information complies with the conditions for lawful processing (accountability, processing limitation, purpose specification, information quality, openness, security safeguards, data subject participation). POPIA+1

3. What personal information we collect and how we use it

We may collect personal information from you in the course of providing our travel packages and related services, including but not limited to: name, contact details (email, telephone, mailing address), passport/ID information (where required for bookings), travel preferences, emergency contact details, payment details, and other information necessary to deliver our services to you.


We collect and use that personal information for specific, explicitly defined and lawful purposes (for example: arranging tour bookings, managing payments, communicating with you about your travel arrangements, marketing with your consent). We will not process your personal information in a manner that is incompatible with these purposes.


4. How we protect your personal information

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law, and thereafter securely delete or anonymise it.

  • request correction or deletion of your personal information if it is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or obtained unlawfully;

  • The fees and how we will respond to requests for access.
